POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Developer of Cloud Integrations is responsible for planning, coordinating and supporting functional and technical activities related to cloud integrations in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment. This individual will work alongside a cross-functional team of engineers, analysts and developers to deliver scalable, robust and innovative real-time data pipelines, streaming analytics and other system integration solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to enable a differentiated Ulta guest experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to gather requirements and create functional and technical specifications
* Design frameworks and pipelines to enable high volume, low latency data integrations between on-premise and cloud applications
* Develop data integration solutions on GCP leveraging Google Data Flow, Google DataProc, Google Pub/Sub, REST APIs, Java and Python scripts
* Develop and execute test plans/scripts to validate the code for functionality/SLAs and recommend performance improvements
* Design and build cloud-compatible CI/CD frameworks to deploy solutions on GCP
* Support the operations activity of the deployed solutions, investigate complex issues and assist with their resolution
* Evaluate emerging technologies and approaches that will power data-driven integration capabilities across the enterprise
* Mentor other team members on GCP integration related best practices

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or applicable work experience
* Familiar with cloud computing concepts and designing and building cloud ready applications/integrations
* 1+ years of integration experience on cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, AWS
* Experience in Google Data Flow, Google DataProc, REST APIs, Google Pub/Sub, Java and Python scripting and Kafka Streams
* Experience in test automation to improve data quality and CI/CD using Docker, GitHub, Jenkins and Unix/Linux shell scripts
* Possess a strong work ethic; takes pride in producing a quality product and a strong team player
* Work with production support and project consultants in an onshore / offshore model
* Support off-hours production issues and code deployments as needed
* Minimal travel required (training/conferences)
