Purpose of Job:

This position will concentrate on creating and managing BI and Analytic solutions that turn data into knowledge for the business. This person should be analytical and an excellent communicator with the ability to assess business needs by gathering requirements. Analyst will also be responsible for creating and modifying visualizations with Tableau based on business needs. This will play a key role in developing Interstate's Business Intelligence platform.

Responsibilities:

* Leading requirement gathering sessions
* Documentation of business requirements
* Strategic planning
* Logical data and process designs
* Project plans
* Creation of test cases for new data sources, KPIs, and reporting
* The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, development and QA to advance the product.

Job Components:

* Work with other analyst and independently to accomplish project tasks.
* Perform analysis and identify alternative solutions to Business/Technical problems.
* Organize, participate, and requirements gathering sessions, UAT and other business facing sessions.
* Support the activities required to build and maintain customer relationships.
* Direct team to accomplish multiple groups of tasks.
* Develop and communicate project/task estimates and project work plans to management.
* Manage tasks and projects to hit scheduled targets.
* Handle administrator duties within Tableau and Alteryx.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required
* 3-5 years' experience working with Tableau Server - scheduling subscriptions, setting permissions, extracts, server upgrades, managing licensing, groups, site roles etc.
* 3-5 years' experience working with Alteryx
* 3-5 years' experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst
* Excellent knowledge of Data Visualization software (Tableau)
* Ability to "own the room" and facilitate requirements gathering sessions is a must have
* Ability to communicate effectively with business customers to explain their option to meet their reporting and informational insight requirements
* Strong business and analytical skills including direct interaction with business end users for requirements analysis
* Responsible for mentoring and training other team members
* Responsible for development and communication of estimates and task plans for projects
* Able to produce business results in a fast-paced environment
* Viz Portfolio is a nice to have
