Come join a Herndon, VA based team as a Solutions Architect within Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are looking for motivated technologists who possess a balance of technical depth, business knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills. You will partner across AWS teams to help customers craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help customers use AWS within their organizations ranging from new start-ups to large enterprise customers.

Use your hands on experience in one or more of the following technical areas to support transitioning public sector customers' to AWS: security and compliance, container technologies, serverless compute, machine learning, big data and analytics, databases, networking connectivity to AWS, software development and infrastructure architecture.

Roles and Responsibilities

Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS with training sessions, customer communications and proof of concepts

Extend your strong foundation of knowledge around AWS cloud services and the cloud ecosystem

Act as a technical liaison between customers, engineering teams and support
