Job OverviewQualcomm Safety and Autonomous Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)Qualcomm is utilizing its traditional strengths in digital wireless technologies to play a central role in the evolution of automotive infotainment and autonomous driving. We are investing in several supporting technologies including 4G, 5G, ADAS, and Deep Learning. The Qualcomm ADAS/Autonomy Systems team is engaged in offering optimized solutions built on DSP, computer vision and machine learning algorithms for the Qualcomm ADAS/Autonomy systems architecture.We are seeking engineers with experience in system and device level functional safety concepts and implementations. This position will be a hands-on role in analyzing Functional Safety concepts and requirements in existing and next generation ADAS/Autonomy systems offered by Qualcomm, while optimizing and exercising the full capability of the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform.Responsibilities shall include the following:Developing a system level safety architecture and concept to integrate Qualcomms hardware in safety critical systems, leading and coordinating the creation of functional safety documentation as per ISO 26262.Develop safety requirements to implement Technical Safety Concepts (TSCs) on Qualcomms Snapdragon automotive hardwareWork with various technology teams on architectural features that would enable targeted safety levels (ASIL B to ASIL D, depending upon the technology team and system level requirements)Conducting safety analyses, both quantitative and qualitative, on automotive hardware designs and identify areas of improvementResponsibilities will include leading functional safety related activities for SoC development and ensure ISO 26262 compliance with respect to SoC architecture, processes and work products.Work closely with Quality teams, SoC Design and IP teams, Software team, the functional safety manager(s) as well as customers to ensure the functional safety process is executed and documented.Working with vendors and partners to ensure functional safety requirements are fulfilled by the components that they provideAll Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.Minimum Qualifications2+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.
