Job OverviewResponsible for creating and executing test plans for software design verification, software testing, and compliance testing on systems that include platform, Multimedia and vehicle network software.Day to day activities will include automation development to support automotive software test on different OS in continues integration, sanity, domain specific areas (such as Multimedia- audio, video, camera and display, Graphic, Power and Thermal, vehicle network), software stability, performance optimization and characterization.Responsibilities also include working with both a local lead and remote teams on debugging automotive SW issues and automation issue, working with design engineers to analyze and troubleshoot problems, interpreting domain area specifications and product requirements, organizing test results, compiling and presenting test reports, and logging defects into the defect tracking system.All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge in one or more of the following operating systems is preferred: Android, QNX, embedded Linux. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), working with teams across multiple time zones. 1-5 years work experience in embedded and Multimedia software test with following areas of knowledge and skill:Software programming, such as C/C++/Java, scripting (perl, python, shell).Lab tools and equipment for wireless and multimedia testWireless communications system (such as cellular, bluetooth, WLAN, and so on)multimedia frameworks and standards on different domain areaTest experience on automotive, mobile productAble to work independently with limited supervision " id="hdnPreferredQualifications" /> Knowledge in one or more of the following operating systems is preferred: Android, QNX, embedded Linux.
