They design all sorts of website features such as text boxes, forums, games and animations designed to keep the user engaged. Frontend Engineers coordinate their efforts with Backend Engineers who process the data. Additionally, they work with sales teams and marketers. Frontend Engineers should have working knowledge of coding languages like HTML, CSS and JavaScript. They also must be able to think like the end user. Frontend Engineers need a bachelor degree in computer science or a related field.

Frontend Engineers may work directly for a consulting firm by providing technical solutions for the firm. Or they may support the consulting firm's clients.
