Leading both small and large projects, the IT Project Manager will manage staffing, put together a work plan and budget, negotiate vendor contracts and provide status reports to department heads, stakeholders and clients.
An IT Project Manager must be familiar with a variety of computer systems, programming languages and software. Therefore, most employers will look for candidates with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business or a related field.
Large healthcare organizations such as hospitals along with pharmaceutical companies, clinics and research centers all hire IT Project Managers to computer-related related projects.
