Job Description

The Wireless Network Engineer is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and analyzing wireless networks remotely for multiple locations. Duties include monitoring and reporting on network hardware operations to ensure compliant configuration options. Generate log files/reports and provide analysis of the data collected for issue resolution and network performance metrics. The candidate will configure and implement diagnostic tools to support network architectures. Develop, implement, and maintain network standards and documentation. Participate in strategic, capacity, and performance planning objectives and goals. Make recommendation for future wireless designs for new facilities as well as recommendations to improve current facilities.

Job Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

* BS Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related field
* 3-5 years of experience managing wireless network technologies
* CCNA Wireless Certification
* Complete understanding of 802.11ac
* Knowledge of WiFi 6 802.11ax
* HSPD 12 Mid-Level or Secret Certification
* Experience with Cisco Aironet Access Points and controllers as well as Cisco Meraki Wireless Access Points
* Experience with Cisco router hardware and network protocols
* Experience with network diagnostic and performance management tools and software
* Experience with industry standard network engineering principles
* Strong understanding of enterprise routing/switching
* Ability to work independently and analyze, interpret, and accurately summarize complex processes and detailed information
* Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with a high energy level and willingness to aggressively take on responsibility
* Excellent customer service skills
* Demonstrated ability to approach job responsibilities with a focus on process improvement
* Able to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, including executive management
* Strong verbal and writing skills
* Unconditional integrity and commitment to achieving goals
