Vice President Digital Identity, Product Innovation

Overview

* Mastercard is looking for a passionate Technologist to drive the cloud based development and deployment of a Decentralized Digital Identity network
* The ideal candidate will keep abreast of Industry and Standards trends around decentralized identity and work with Technology partners to bring the latest and greatest to Mastercard
* The ideal candidate will formulate key technology requirements, develop platform vision, functional architecture and roadmap for a distributed consumer identity network
* The ideal candidate will have a solid technology development background and partner with both internal and external engineering organizations in managing technology development work streams
* The ideal candidate will represent Mastercard in various technical standards body and industry initiatives around decentralized consumer identity
* The ideal candidate will have hands on coding experience to develop quick prototypes, contribute / develop from Industry open source projects
* The ideal candidate will have the right balance of Technical and Business skills to communicate complex technical matters eloquently to broad a non-technical audience

Role

* Design, build robust, flexible, scalable cloud based distributed consumer identity solutions for Mastercard
* Work with internal and external engineering teams to jointly development cutting edge distributed digital identity network
* Manage day to day development work streams
* Work with Digital Identity Product management, Go-to-Market team to ensure smooth launch of new digital identity product and services
* Develop position papers and contribute technical papers to various standard bodies

commercialization teams / process

* Ensure all services can be readily published as Micro Services APIs for Mastercard partners to consumer
* Develop and foster cloud based design patterns for micro services and API orchestration
* Keep up to date on technology trends and assess relevance in the payments space
* Be a champion for technological innovation inside Mastercard

* Deep experience in all aspects of cloud computing with a proven track record implementing large scale environments

* Define multiyear platform strategy for MC Digital Identity platform adjusting to new technologies and requirements as they evolve
* Define innovative customer deployment models for MC Digital Identity platform
* Drive cloud/ technology discussions and facilitate decision with other teams within the organization
* Stay current with IAAS & PAAS trends and incorporate emerging technology to benefit the platform.
* Research, test and understand the value of a containerized cloud offerings

Technology skillsets:

* Implementation level experience with W3C DID, W3C Verifiable Claims, DID Identity Hubs
* Implementation level experience with Java , Python, Kotlin programming languages
* Implementation level experience with: Angular, Node
* Implementation level experience developing distributed applications and API integration
* Implementation level experience developing web services
* Implementation level understanding of Message representational technologies over the web / Internet: REST, JSON and JSON LD
* Implementation level understanding of the database technologies including SQL/NoSQL and have used them projects
* Experience using versioning tools (Github)
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum
* Good understanding of Messaging design patterns and open source tools and frameworks
* Good understanding of Semantic web Technologies such as: RDF
