Job Description

TuSimple was founded in 2015 with the goal of bringing the top minds in the world together to achieve the dream of a driverless truck solution. With a foundation in computer vision, algorithms, mapping, and AI, TuSimple is working to create the first commercially viable autonomous truck driving platform with L4 (SAE) levels of safety.

Responsibilities:

* Verify software by implementing regression automation test on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) platform
* Design Simulink model to integrate the HIL test system
* Identify and troubleshoot issues with updated control algorithm software on truck
* Design test process in line with HIL environment and write test cases
* Support HIL platform setup

Qualifications:

* B.S. or M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Robotics or related fields
* 1+ year's experience in validation testing
* Familiar with Matlab/Simulink, LabView and embedded C programming
* Familiar with CAN communication protocol
* Understanding system engineering principles, hardware and software design
* Strong logical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills

Bonus Points:

* Knowledge of Vehicle control, Vehicle dynamics; Experience in commercial vehicle model, like CarSim/CarMaker
* Experience in Veristand/Teststand/Labview and NI hardware
* Strong hands-on ability
