The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the latest web design and UX technology, methodologies, and best practices, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and to work effectively as part of a lean, versatile, global web design and development team.

For us, "agile" isn't just a buzzword, but a proven philosophy of success. In order to excel in this role, one must be able to thrive both creatively and technically in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes iterative, user-centric, move-the-needle web projects based on the most relevant performance data and highest standards. The right individual for this position will energetically and enthusiastically take a hands-on approach to a broad variety of web projects and collaboration stakeholders across LexisNexis.

Additionally, this role requires someone who grasps immediately and can communicate expertly to team members and key LexisNexis leaders how projects will help the company achieve its goals, with a focus on trackable performance metrics tied to lead generation, product usage, customer satisfaction/engagement, and revenue.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Help lead the design evolution of the LexisNexis website through the eyes of customers' and prospects' journey and needs

2. Develop web projects iteratively and test variations to maximize site performance, with a focus on high-impact improvements defined by clearly measurable results

3. Own a stake in the design and development of a world-class, industry-leading web experience

4. Propose feasible and high-quality design and development solutions based on web design and technology expertise

5. Independently and in consultation with company stakeholders, identify business needs and problems/opportunities for improvement on the corporate website, effectively communicate those needs and their priority to appropriate team members, and ensure successful and trackable solutions are implemented

8. Work on pre- and post-deployment QA testing of new, existing, and modified web components and templates

9. Ensure compatibility standards (e.g., responsive design) are met in the conception and implementation of site designs

10. Communicate progress and results of web projects on a consistent basis

11. Maintain knowledge of and communicate web design/development innovations and evolving standards to ensure the LexisNexis corporate site continues to perform at a high level and is viewed as a best-in-class website

12. Partner with other members of the web design and development team to create, maintain, and ensure compliance with website standards and best practices

Qualifications:

1. Up to 2 years of professional experience in web design and front-end development

2. A bachelor's degree in computer science, web design & development, or a related field

3. Innovative and forward-thinking web design and coding skills, along with a strong understanding of information architecture principles and frameworks

4. Advanced knowledge of web design/UX tools, standards, and best practices; experience with browserStack a plus

5. Experience working with design and development contractors in various parts of the world and willingness to work off hours as necessary to meet project goals and deadlines

6. Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite design applications

7. Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery); knowledge of Angular JS and development on .NET platform preferred

8. Experience working with a variety of CMS platforms (e.g., TeamSite, Telligent)

9. Strong experience in scrum and agile methodologies

10. Experience with A/B testing and related tools to develop data-driven, high-impact website recommendations

11. Experience with QA testing of web components and templates, especially cross-browser and cross-device compatibility tests

12. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals at all levels of an organization

13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
