NEC Enterprise Communication Technologies, Inc. ("NECECT") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation. The company develops and supports a wide range of solutions, including Unified Communications, Software-defined networking, Video Analytics and IoT.

We are looking for a qualified intern to join our team for 2019 Summer. NECECT group conducts many project-based activities and we are looking an intern who can participate in various stages of the preparation for NEC Software - Product Development & Engineering by experiencing actual business activities by working closely with UX, UI, engineering and product management team. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced multi-national team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of IT solutions. This position will work closely with senior engineers who are translating end user needs into compelling easy to use web and mobile products that will delight our customers.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development & engineering of NEC software and product through experiencing and interacting NECECT developers, engineers and teams.

Assist with development - engineering projects for the team

Assist with conducing in User Research through Competitive Analysis, Personas, Gorilla Testing, Usability Testing, Card Sorting, etc.

Assist with their daily business - software engineering activities.

Assist with office administrative work for team members.

Requirements

Experience building and maintaining applications with technologies such as Angular, Bootstrap, node.js, REST API, jQuery, HTML5

Basic understanding of UX methodologies and experience modern design tools in tools (e.g. InVision, Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD etc.).

Basic understanding on modern web and mobile application development technologies and design styles.

Basic background in design principles along with internship work or personal project experience.

This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, Team Work & Self Motivated. Experience in Application development is required, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.

Work Hours - 20 hours/ week
