Job Description

Reporting to the Director, User Services, the incumbent will provide Information Technology support services to the Columbia University Medical Center user community. These services include configuring and troubleshooting personal computers, related peripherals and varied software packages. Function as a member of the information technology support team. Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two years of related experience. Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Special Instructions Preferred Qualifications Previous experience providing technical support for software and hardware. Excellent problem solving skills. Firm grasp of Windows and Macintosh hardware, operating systems and application suites. Experience with TCP/IP networking. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of maintaining and working with incident management systems as well as experience in Knowledge generation and maintenance is important. Experience with Office 365, Office 2016, Windows 7, Windows 10, and MAC Office. Ability to work independently. Essential Functions Install and troubleshoot software issues 15%

Install and troubleshoot PC hardware and peripherals 15%

Resolve assigned request tickets in allotted time 20%

Support computer encryption initiative 15%

Image and configure PCs for deployment to users 15%

Deploy/Move PCs and peripherals to users across the campus 5%

Communicate the latest policies and procedures to users 5%

User data migration, inventory, and recovery 5%
