We are reinforcing our Team of driver assistance systems at Shirley (Solihull), Birmingham by offering a 12 Month Student Placement (£16,500 per year) at Shirley (Solihull), Birmingham

Your tasks:

* Support the system development of driver assistance systems - Camera, Radar, Lidar and computing platforms
* Cooperation in the concept development and analysis of the system requirements and development of the corresponding system architecture in SysML under consideration of functional security (ISO26262) and cyber security
* Support of the team in preparation of safety and cyber security concepts (TSC / TARA) and deployment of analyses (FTA, FMEA)
* Close cooperation with hardware/software and/or test teams within the scope of customer projects, also in an international environment, in close coordination with the teams in Germany and Farmington Hills (USA)
* Preparation of technical presentations and reporting into Management

Your profile:

* Bachelor's degree student (m/f) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Physics or related subject, having successfully completed at least 2 years of their degree course
* Interest in coordinating technical topics in an interdisciplinary team
* Interest in the development (system, SW, HW, test) of safety-critical systems in the automotive environment and willingness to learn about active safety products
* Independent and structured way of working
* Excellent communication skills in English
