Job Description

Flow Traders US is looking for a motivated individual with an interest in financial markets and an entrepreneurial mindset, who is able to manage multiple responsibilities and demands with a strong sense of urgency and customer focus. To be a successful candidate, they will have experience with Python scripting and are comfortable within a Linux environment.

In this challenging position of a Trading Support Engineer, you will provide hands-on support to our traders to safeguard the performance and stability of our proprietary trading systems as well as the related hardware. Additionally, you will participate in projects, advise on structural improvements and monitor trends within your area of expertise to capitalize on opportunities of new technologies.

Responsibilities:

* Act as primary escalation point for traders
* Troubleshoot and optimize our in-house trading software and third-party applications
* Install, configure and maintain critical trading applications and general office applications
* Analyse and escalate exchange related issues either directly with an Exchange or broker
* Incident management via ticketing system and documentation
* Collaborate with developers to design new and improve existing applications.

Qualifications:

* Interest in trading and financial markets
* Knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems, plus relevant hardware knowledge
* Affinity with scripting languages, with a high preference for Python (e.g. Python, Shell, Perl, batch)
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
* Strong problem solving qualities and a serviced minded attitude
* A hands-on mentality; self-starter and entrepreneurial mind-set
