Job Description

Test engineer

Location: Des Plaines, IL

Duration: 5-6 months

Roles and responsibilities:

* Need for test engineers for doing both manual and automated testing.
* 2+ years' experience testing and/or running medical instruments or equivalent regulated environment
* Should be able to analyze software requirements and produce test designs including data for the test cases.
* Candidate will be creating and executing detailed manual test cases in Quality Center.
* Familiarity with Agile methodology preferred.
* Familiarity with Medical device testing highly desirable.
* Familiarity working in an FDA regulated environment preferred.
* Experience with Visual Basic scripting within UFT/QTP is desirable.
* Experience with C# or a high-level programming language such as C++ or Java is desirable.
* Quick learner, ability to work independently
* Good documentation and observation skills
* Ability to stand for long periods of time (greater than 4 hours at a time)
* Ability to work some nights and weekends, will be expected to some overtime
* Tools used: UFT/QTP, Quality Center, Jira, DOORS, Coded UI, Visual Studio.

Education:

* B.S. in Bio engineering or similar degree

Nice to have

* 2+ years as a test engineer, embedded software preferred
* Laboratory environment (bio lab, hospital, medical company, etc.)
* Exposure to molecular diagnostics equipment and/or molecular biology Biohazards procedures / experience

Additional details

* Ability to stand for long periods of time (greater than 4 hours at a time)
