Rudolph Technologies, Inc. is a worldwide leader in the design, development, manufacture and support of process control equipment and data analysis systems and software used by microelectronic device manufacturers worldwide.

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join a dynamic team working to build next generation systems that will control sophisticated mechanical/electrical/optical systems.

As a Software Test Engineer you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, as well as regression tests to ensure that software meets customer requirements and company specifications for our electro-mechanical semiconductor tools. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of leading and executing high quality testing activities suitable for high available software.

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with software engineers to design verification test plans
* Write regression and functional test plans for new features or new tools
* Execute verification and regression tests for each release for new and existing systems
* Implementation verification of features or fixes made to the software
* Troubleshoot customer issues - Reproduction of customer issues prior to software development
* Assess the quality, usability and functionality of each release
* Identify bugs and performance issues prior to commercial software release
* Write departmental procedures, release documents, and work instructions as needed
* Lab maintenance - upgrade hardware components, system software

Qualifications

* Bachelor of Science (BS) or minimum of 4 years testing experience
* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and troubleshoot software/hardware issues - Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
* Experience with various testing techniques including: end-user testing, stress testing, performance testing, client-server and boundary analysis
* Familiarity with software development tools such as bug tracking, code management, build and installation
* Analytical and creative thinking skills to identify and analyze problem areas during design and development
* Organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast paced environment
* Ability to work with limited direction and takes initiative
* Thorough knowledge of standard business software products (Microsoft® Office, Outlook, Windows 7 and 10, etc.)
* Familiarity with Microsoft® Visual Studio, Test Manager, and SQL Server
* Experience with metrology systems, motion control systems, image acquisition, signal processing, optics, coordinate systems transformations, electronics, and precision electrical measurements is a plus
* Familiarity with Probe Card and Wafer technologies is a plus
* Travel as needed to support new products, upgrade, or troubleshoot issues in the field (typically less than 10%)
