Job Description

Telecommunication Eng. Will be responsible to help The Lead engineer in the, implementation, and optimization of new and existing global communication systems. Existing global communications environment connects 90 offices nationally and internationally from Spain, Paris and the UK in Europe to San Diego and San Francisco in the U.S. Costar Group resides in 6 data centers with roughly 3,000 virtualized servers, and a robust network of F5, Checkpoint and Cisco appliances. The current hybrid communication environment consists of an Avaya Communication Manager 6.3 in a duplex server configuration with ESS. Communication Manager is networked to 96 Avaya branch gateways via a large web of MPLS and Point to Point connections. Adjunct technologies include Nice recording, call accounting, CMS and other call center technologies. The enterprise has employed 170 Polycom end point video conference environment with a 300 port bridge. Remote employees connect and communicate to the enterprise using 3,000 IPad and IPhone using Skype for Business and Polycom 1Xmobile. This role is responsible architecting new communications technologies to improve company global communication and enhance the customer contact experience. The architect would utilize existing on premise and cloud SAAS solutions to achieve the stated goal. Position Responsibilities Develop and maintain enterprise voice and contact center technology strategies and standards. Educate/train team members, including customers, on the architecture and benefits of new and emerging technologies. Technical telecom acumen to interface with technologists, understand complex concepts and translate in a way that businesses or industry can understand. Develop a telecom strategy & roadmap for the business. Shape, drive and be held accountable for delivering significant strategic telecom initiatives across broad enterprise. Understand the technology stack including Avaya telecom systems, Nice Recording systems, Unified Communication Platform, SIP connectivity, and Unified Communications Cloud Solutions. Understand key telecom architectural design concepts including latency, scalability, efficiency and failover. Review detailed research materials, vendor product plans and industry trends for new/emerging technologies in order to identify the impact on current Company technology strategies and business plans. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions Desired Skills and Experience The position requires 5 to 10 years of experience with Unified Communications including, but not limited to, VoIP, Dial Plans, Device Configuration, PBX integration and Contact Center technologies. In addition the candidate should have a proven track record as a highly seasoned, senior level resource who has led multiple unified communications innovation projects and delivered business benefits. Must have experience or knowledge of the following: Global VoIP and digital Contact Center platforms CRM integration with contact center solutions Public and private cloud communication architectures IP networking, LAN/WAN switching and QoS Telephony dial plan design and call routing/control protocols In depth VoIP troubleshooting including log analysis, tracing and packet captures Microsoft 365 Skype for Business and Enterprise Voice experience is a plus Avaya Communication Manager 6.3 Avaya Systems Manager Avaya CMS Avaya EMC (Elite Multichannel) Utilize excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate at all required levels necessary to perform duties including executives and senior management, engineering and operational peers, and internal customers from the business community.
