The Telecast Consultant handles all of the Academic Technologies including videoconferencing, Echo audio/video capture & upload, Kaltura, in-class Audience Response systems, manages all hardware and software issues, coordinates with Main Campus technology staff and faculty, cross-covers for VCU School of Medicine Inova Campus, as well as support of student activities at ICAMS (Inova Center for Advanced Medical Simulation). Acts as a resources for all technology issues with faculty, staff and students, as well as guest presenters. Liaison / interface between Inova And VCU IT Departments

We are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent technical knowledge and skills, yet able to effectively communicate with non-technical persons. Excellent communication skills, patience and diplomacy, along with creativity, a practical perspective and problem-solving skills are a must. Great opportunity to work with Doctor of Pharmacy students and faculty.

Requirements

Experience: 2 years experience required in Media Communications, CCTV, Teleconferencing. Preferred - candidates with 5 years Media Communications, 5 years Teleconferencing, and 1 year in a Health Care environment.

Education: Associate degree or High School diploma and a minimum of 3 years Media Communication related experience. Preferred - Bachelors degree plus certification in electronics.

Training: Training in media communications, teleconferencing, satellite communications. Preferred - 7 years in Media Communications, Teleconferencing, Satellite Communications.

Certifications: Media Communication or Teleconferencing certifications.

Licensure: Preferred - First Class FCC License

Special Skills: Ability to interpret electronic schematics. Ability to use Spectrum analyzer for electronic trouble shooting. Able to work with internal clients and external vendors.
