* District: Joliet Public Schools District 86 (Joliet, IL) is seeking a Technology Repair Technician.

This is a full-time position with benefits. This position reports to the Director of Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide first level technology intervention/support/repair at the classroom and building level.

* Troubleshoot and perform on-site minor repairs on computers, projectors, document cameras, interactive white boards, printers and other peripheral equipment.
* Set up and troubleshoot individual workstations to meet end-user and District requirements.
* Pick up/Deliver technology equipment from/to schools as needed.
* Clean and maintain hardware.
* Install and configure software.
* Assist with the management of the school's LAN.
* Assist in all technology projects and initiatives as needed.
* Refer/Escalate technology issues to the appropriate employee as needed.
* Performs all other responsibilities as assigned by the Director or his/her designee

A+ Certification

Related technical support experience

Understanding of TCP/IP Networks and networking essentials

Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory

Must be able to professionally interact with teachers, administrators and students

Must be able to lift and carry general computer equipment
