In the role of Technology Lead, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency in defining requirements, technical strategy, design, development, data analysis, data transformation, job scheduling, application configuration, deployment, test planning, test execution & reporting for Big data-based applications in Agile development model. You will have responsibility of coordinating efforts with counter-parts with in program and offshore based at India ensure adherence to project timelines and schedules. Location for this position is El Segundo, California. This position may require travel and or relocation.

Qualifications

Basic

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required.

Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education

At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.

Preferred

6+ years of experience in developing of Hadoop / Bigdata applications and analytics covering HBase, HDFS, Ambari, Hive, Pig, Spark, MapReduce, Flume, Kafka

Experience in Micro services and Web services applications with proficiency in SOAP, REST

Experience in working with NoSQL databases like Couchbase, Mongo DB

Experience in Relational databases like Oracle

Experience in Linux and Shell scripting

Experience in Agile development - Agile planning, Story point and function point estimation, Sprint test planning, backlog grooming

Experience in DevOps based development - Jenkins, CI/CD, Make, Ant, Maven and other build tools

Experience in defect management and bug tracking systems managing entire defect life cycle

Excellent written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills and be able to communicate ideas and concepts effectively.

Operating systems: Linux, Windows

Bigdata technologies: Hortonworks - Hbase, HDFS, Hive, Pig, Spark, Flume, Kafka

Technologies: Java, Java script, Webservices SOAP/REST, AWS

Test Management & Bug tracking systems: JIRA, Bugjilla, QMetry
