Infosys is seeking a DB2 DBA for a full time position located in Pleasanton, CA.

In the role of Technology Lead, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Location for this position is Pleasanton, CA. This position may require travel and/or relocation.

Qualifications Basic

* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
* At least 4 years of experience with in Information Technology

Preferred

* At least 3 years of experience as DB2 LUW DBA on AIX, LINUX and UNIX
* Upgraded DB2 LUW databases from old to newer versions and applying FIXPACKS to keep DB2 at most recent level
* Experience in implementing SQL & Q-Replication, Log shipping, TSM Backup and Recovery strategies and developing Architecture for building a database preferred
* Proficient in installation and upgrade patching for Mongo DB preferred
* Good exposure with ITIL processes, like change management, release management and incident management.
* Proficient in daily support activities which include maintaining and testing backups, monitoring logs, monitoring thread activity, resolving lockwaits and deadlock issues and contentions, scheduling administration activities etc.
* Expert in monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning
* Proficient in user administration, security, backup restore 5 Understanding of service management processes
* Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
* Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
* Strong communication and Analytical skills

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
