Infosys- Data & Analytics - Technology Lead - Talend/Hadoop

In the role of Technology Lead, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Location for this position is Rosemead, CA. This position may require relocation or 100% travel

Qualifications:

Basic:

* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
* At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.

Preferred:

* At least 3 years of experience as Talend ETL Senior Developer or Lead working with Big data technologies
* Exposure with hands-on knowledge on Hive, HDFS, Hbase, Spark, PySpark, and Impala
* Ability to suggest solutions to the team and performance improvements required
* Strong understanding of data and designing Data Lake platforms on Hadoop
* Earlier experience to work and co-ordinate with onsite-offshore model
* Certification on Talend or Cloudera Hadoop will be preferred
* Any Utility industry experience in Customer Service or Transmission & Distribution will be added advantage

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
