Technology Lead - Accessibility Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic, highly organized and detail-oriented Tech lead accessibility specialist and evangelist to join our Accessibility Excellence team. Responsibilities include:

* Provide Automated Testing Strategy, Tooling and Best practices
* Deliver Developer Tool kit- Inspection tools for automated code scanning and browser rendering
* Deliver automation tools and solutions for end user experience/Usability validation
* Provide recommendations, best practices and tools for exploratory/manual testing (automation supplement)
* Provide usage guidance and support for the enabling tools & solutions
* Ongoing consultation with SMEs for test coverage and conformance to accessibility standards
* Collaborate with SME/content providers for gathering Accessibility training material and courseware.
* Orchestrate and deliver enterprise training for accessibility for different roles - designers, developers, testers etc. Track progress and provide training metrics.

Required Qualifications:

* 8-12 years of experience in accessibility technology
* A self - starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and leadership to help facilitate enterprise technology teams to deliver accessible solutions
* Strong understanding of Accessibility Standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508 etc), best practices and design methods
* Proven technical knowledge in UI technologies - HTML5, CSS3, Python , JavaScript and JS frameworks like Angular JS, React JS etc and associated experience with standards compliant development
* Experience using assistive technologies - JAWs, NVDA, ZoomText etc
* Experience with assessing applications for ADA compliance
* Experience with accessibility tools and automation solutions
* Passion for technology and user experience
* Web and Mobile design experience
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Strong commitment to meeting high expectations of end users
* Strong problem solving capabilities
* Strong cross group collaboration skills and ability to build relationships with and evangelize to multiple stakeholders
