SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, this position manages technical support for a mixed environment of Windows 7 and Mac OSX desktop computers, applications, and related technology including installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair for remote users as needed.
* Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
* Collaborate with corporate technicians/network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company's desktop computing environment.
* Develop and maintain an inventory of all computers, monitors, keyboards, hard drives and other components and equipment. Ordering components as needed, while watching the budget allocated for such items. Ensure server room and supplies are kept organized.
* Provide user training for hardware/software products; identifies problems and resolves hardware/software/network malfunctions; performs minor hardware/software/network maintenance, hardware installation/replacement.
* Support legacy phone system.
* Support Google Box and other in-house video meeting needs.
* Work with corporate to solve any Wi-Fi issues.
* Manage in-house security systems, including key card access, card issues and replacements. Maintain log.
* Support maintenance of server room equipment including back-up devices, switches, routers, servers etc.
* Liaise with third-party support and equipment vendors if necessary.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Two to five years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems/network support; includes two years of specialized experience related to the task described above
* Excellent technical knowledge of Mac OSX and Macintosh desktop hardware in a networked environment
* Excellent technical knowledge of Windows 7 and PC internal components
* Must have knowledge of configurations for workstations, peripherals, and cabling
* Ability to set up network based components (printers, computers, access points)
* Knowledge of Mobile Device Operating Systems (Android, iOS, Windows Phone)
* Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
* Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
* Must have good troubleshooting, organizational and communication skills with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
* Self motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Strong customer-service orientation
