Responsibilities

Role Summary

Related/Hudson Yards is seeking an individual experienced in the deployment, and operation of advanced enterprise infrastructure, including networks, cloud deployments, and building systems. This is a highly technical position which will require experience with Cisco networks, AWS environment management, and hands-on experience with modern commercial building systems.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the CTO, this role will interact heavily with internal and vendor teams responsible for the integration of disparate hardware and software systems. This role will hold primary responsibility for management of and upgrades to the extensive enterprise Cisco network at Hudson Yards. This position will be responsible for ensuring the continued operation of existing infrastructure to support a variety of systems and services (Wifi, HVAC/Energy, Elevators, Life Safety Systems, Turnstiles, Voice, etc.) This is a highly technical hands-on position. The successful individual will be highly pro-active, self-starter, and comfortable working towards highly strategic goals.

Key Role Skill Set

Key skills and background required:

* 2+ years of experience working Cisco environment, with intermediate level (CCNA) knowledge of routing, switching and wireless, including 9k, 7k and 5k network fabrics
* Basic knowledge of network methodologies (MPLS, VRF, VPC, etc.)
* Intermediate knowledge of wireless network principles, particularly Cisco deployments
* Intermediate knowledge of VoIP/QoS design and deployment
* Intermediate knowledge of Layer 1 infrastructure (fiber, copper, RF)
* Experienced in network cyber-security best practices (firewall configs, ACLs, etc.)
* Basic knowledge of SDN/SD-WAN
* Experience and comfort with stakeholder management and communications at the senior management level
* Familiarity with PMO best practices and ability to interface with Project Management resources
* Proven ability to effectively work with team members and business stakeholders across diverse roles and experience levels
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong diagramming and documentation skills
* Highly developed interpersonal skills
* Experience with hybrid on-premise/cloud solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

* Cisco or CompTIA Certification or similar is a plus
* Experience with Cisco, HP and Meraki technologies
* Basic knowledge with IoT architectures, security, management and device integrations
* Intermediate data architecture, data analytics, and/or data science skills

Education and Professional Qualifications

BS/BA Degree from an accredited University
