Technical Project Program Manager

As a Senior Technical Program Managerat Capital One, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary technical projects using your technical program management expertise. The ideal candidate has a track record of delivering large-scale, high-complexity technical projects on time, on budget, and fit to specification. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the Enterprise. General Responsibilities:

* Lead critical technical program initiatives as a part of the Enterprise Data Transformation Program
* Removing barriers and addressing common issues across different initiatives for smoother and timely execution
* Providing end-to-end governance, driving teams to adhere to existing processes, and defining new and improved processes and procedures
* Driving technical discussions with engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope with specific focus on cloud-based data platforms
* Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
* Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and being delivered on time
* Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
* Drive on continuous improvements, and drive team to deliver value quickly
* Partnering cross-functionally with LOB customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
* Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments

The ideal candidate will:

* Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent program / project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic environment
* Have an in-depth knowledge of program management and ability to manage delivery across teams to effectively manage scope, schedule, budget, and risks/impediments
* Command a strong attention to detail ensuring that projects are managed and documented appropriately to mitigate delivery risk
* Have a strong ability to solve problems cross-functionally
* Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts to delivery on schedule, within budget and with high quality
* Have excellent communication and partnership skills, essential in interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

* Evangelize with stakeholders and customers to communicate delivery of new capabilities
* Have knowledge of how the Tech organization is operating and maturing and how the Program's deliverable are aligned to the company's imperatives
* Roll up their sleeves and dive deep into supporting the resolution of technical impediments, to help the team meet its commitments

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
* At least 5 Years of Technical Program or Project Management experience
* At least 2 Years of Agile or Scrum Master experience
* At least 1 year of experience working with cloud-based data platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

* Masters or MBA degree
* 7+ years of Project Management experience
* Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile certification
* Knowledge and experience in Technology and Finance
* Familiarity with the Teradata and DDE platforms and legacy data processes
* Experience managing large programs across business areas
* Working knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework)
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Strong problem solving and influencing skills
* Demonstrated experience achieving project results
