The Technical Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and tracking of Sequoia technical products along with the enthusiastic stewardship of business governance processes, tools, techniques, training, and ad-hoc mentorship related to technical project and process management. The ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity to design and implement processes and build for project management at Sequoia.
What You Get To Do
* Translate business objectives and opportunities into a product development strategy and roadmap * Define, prioritize and measure KPIs and ROI against the product roadmap * Lead cross-functional projects that involve stakeholders across a variety of teams within the organization * Find, evaluate, and oversee external development teams, ensuring customer needs are translated into software solutions that deliver on those needs * Identify, establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers at studios (our customers) * Prepare, maintain and regularly present plans that proactively communicate strategy, roadmap and progress to key stakeholders * Primary ownership of planning, implementation, execution and evaluation or specific functional projects * Support the development and evolution of a framework and set of tools, techniques, practices, and standards that scale from a strategic business initiative to a departmental project accommodating the various levels of scope and complexity * Help develop strategic and operational plans including goals, objectives, KPIs (metrics) to guide a team, project, or department in the organization * Support the technology/vendor selection process when applicable for a project * Harvest key learnings and share through knowledge management system and PM Toolkit
* 8+ years project management experience; PMP certification a plus * Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) * Familiarity with Smartsheet, JIRA, Salesforce, MS Office, Sharepoint * Ability to understand internal and external clients' needs and deliver results under tight deadlines * Experience working developers at multi location * Ability to assess priority, urgency/risk, and make clear decisions in the best interests of the organization * Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills * Proven ability to creatively improve operations in an organization * Bachelor's degree required
