Technical Project Analyst, New Builds

The Holland America Group is currently searching for a highly motivated Technical Project Analyst, New Builds who will be responsible for closely supporting the New Build Technology Manager in all requirements to deal with the ship builder. This role will typically be challenged with aggressive timelines and schedules to produce accurate drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate any change modifications related to new builds
* Coordinate and assign tasks to start up team members. Help prioritize activities.
* Provide timely status updates related to startup activities and milestones.
* Mark up drawings to show location of IT related objects (cable drops etc.).
* Create detailed technical documentation related to all aspects of shipboard infrastructure for new builds related to hardware components, connectivity, power consumption, heat dissipation and weight
* Produce technical drawings with guidance from Manager of Newbuild Technology
* Assist in evaluating new technologies for integration within the shipboard environment
* Provide oversight to contractors to ensure installation of all IT infrastructure is completed as per specification
* Support Manager of New Build Technology requests for all HA Group New Builds

Requirements

* Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Degree preferred, or equivalent. 3 years minimum experience.
* Experience working IT supporting Cruise Industry or Layer 1 IT Projects preferred
* Demonstrated ability to create and deliver training presentations
* High attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
* Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other web-based applications.
* Up to 10% domestic and international travel, including occasional visits to the ships in the fleets
