Job Description

Looking for an innovative, action-oriented, analytic Program Manager to join Amazon's Networking Deployment Planning & Automation team. The Planning & Automation team is charged with developing project management processes and tools to improve Networking deployments in a scalable way. We interface with many teams outside the Networking organization, and work on all kinds of issues [read: problem solvers wanted!].

The Technical Program Manager will work with Networking engineering managers to improve project and material forecasting and smooth demand signals; interpret a range of data sets and develop actionable reporting and metrics geared at reducing project cycle time; liaise with our partner procurement and finance teams to reduce unnecessary bureaucracy and increase financial planning accuracy; define requirements with software teams to build tools that best serve Networking project management; and accommodate unique special projects. There is no standard day in Planning & Automation.

A successful candidate will be uncompromisingly detail-oriented and customer-obsessed. Your work must be accurate, timely, and insightful. You must be a self-starter and be able to learn on the go. You must be able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. You will build sustainable and scalable processes, documentation and reporting that can be leveraged across the business.

Responsibilities

* Drive continued operational and automation improvements to improve operational efficiency.
* Coordinate with business, technical and leadership teams to develop scalable SOPs and improve documentation.
* Create new mechanisms for reporting standards and metric analyses to drive data-driven decision making.
* Support a range of Networking projects and programs by critically approaching problems and facilitating interdependent interactions.
* Provide training and support for new processes and internal tooling launches within Networking.
* Perform comprehensive analysis to support ad-hoc reporting requests.
