Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead a complex cross-team and cross-organizational program on our mission to revolutionize how customers discover and shop on Amazon.

Shoppers rely heavily on online articles and buying guides when they start their buying journey. If we look at our own purchase history, we will probably find that many of our purchases - whether electronics, clothing, or cars - started out with research using online content.

The Onsite Publishing Team partners with publishers to bring this content directly into Amazon. We use endorsements from publishers to provide shopping inspiration and recommendations to customers on Amazon. We provide publishers tools to build rich content. We enable publishers to monetize from the program when our customers buy the products they recommend. To enable this, we have highly scalable back end systems, rich front end experiences, and lean heavily on ML models.

In this role, you will own cross-team and cross-organizational projects that span many product and tech teams within the Direct Affiliate Market and Consumer Engagement organizations, and also across organizations like Search and Advertising. You will be responsible for both depth and breadth projects: translating business requirements to functional specifications, coordinating architecture designs, and making appropriate tradeoffs to manage risks, coordinating across teams with differing priorities. You will set clear goals and effectively communicate program and project status to both software development teams and customers. You will be highly detail oriented and at the same time, demonstrate high bias for action.

This role will routinely challenge your background in technical architecture, operational and management skills, project management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication, and you will draw inspiration and job satisfaction from those challenges. You will be self-directed, adept at prioritization, innovation, and getting along with others.
