* The Cyber Security Technology (CST) function within Global Information Security is responsible for innovation and architecture, engineering, solutions and capabilities development, deployment maintenance and support of information technology security controls. The CST team is also responsible for the management of the program/project management teams.

We invite you to join the Global Information Security (GIS) team at Bank of America as a Technical Delivery Engineer. This is a core engineering role that handles and will drive the engineering lifecycle supporting BAU activities such as strategic engineering execution, intake, product upgrades, change management, testing, and operational preparedness. This is a niche skillset, individual contributor position and the ideal candidate would be a subject matter expert in engineering lifecycle methodologies.

You will be an individual contributor responsible for owning, leading and standardizing various stages of the engineering lifecycle and routines across our engineering capability domains and their Engineering Leads and Product Owners who research, design, engineer, implement, and support information security technologies. Your primary duties will allow you to use your in-depth technical and process knowledge to manage and enhance our internal delivery processes, including defining success criteria for processes and security capabilities, and translating incremental work effort status into bigger picture progress toward organizational goals

As a Technical Delivery Engineer, you may have interaction with and visibility to members of the GIS senior leadership team as well as key business unit stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a deeply committed team of recognized information security experts on high visibility security initiatives for the Bank.


* Required Skills:


* Knowledge of change and project management methodologies and principles and the ability to integrate them into project design
* Excellent process design capability to improve overall efficiency, mitigate resource conflicts, and improve customer/client experience
* Knowledge of Waterfall, DMAIC, Agile, etc. Lifecycle/Change Processes
* Demonstrable ability to self-direct project outcomes, with minimal supervision to achieve program goals
* Strong Visio/Excel/SharePoint/PowerPoint skills
* Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking; out-of-the-box thinking
* Effective communication skills and motivation/willingness to learn
* Ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organization
* Ability to build consensus and cooperation as well as to influence, interact and negotiate with senior leadership in the organization

Desired skills

* Experience with large-scale complex technical change across software and/or hardware
* Experience leading complex technical projects, meeting target timelines, facilitating project meetings, authoring project documentation, issue resolution, and project resource identification
* Experience applying OKR principles to Engineering delivery
* Broad knowledge of Information Security technologies, techniques and processes
* Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and vocabulary
* Experience in Agile methodologies, including but not limited to:
* Story gathering for future program increments
* Outlines Non-functional requirements for Projects
* Story writing
* Story cost/benefit analysis
* Assists with story splitting and refinement
* Bridge business to technical communications
* Process modeling to translate business process to the technical process
* Backlog refinement analysis
* Acceptance testing of stories
* UAT Script creation and support
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Engineering Management

Enterprise Role Overview- As an experienced professional, provide advice to client management with regard to moderately complex security issues. Assists in the review, development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques. Coordinates the reporting data security incidents. Provides technical support to the client and management and staff in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products. Monitors existing and proposed security standard setting groups. State and Federal legislation and regulations. Identifies and escalates changes that will affect information security policy, standards and procedures. Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs. Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocols. Administers security policies to control access to systems and maintains the company firewall. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems.

Typically 5-7 years of IT experience.
