Job Summary

Provide leadership at the enterprise level for technical design of significant projects. Serve as an expert resource to advise other teams and recommend solutions to technical design problems. Lead and/or assist In resolution of complex production problems. Mentor development of those in less senior positions.

General Responsibilities

* Experience coaching solution architects in a scaled agile environment, delivering incremental software each sprint.
* Able to balance cost, scope, and time to deliver solutions
* Experience working with multiple business, enterprise architect, and UX stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of modern design principles (SOLID, KISS, DRY, YAGNI, FIRST, etc)
* Comfortable presenting to large groups of people
* Expert at CI/CD practices, particularly as it applies to automated testing and branching.
* Expert at DCVS, particularly Git.
* Able to communicate technical limitations to business & UX stakeholders
* Expert at decomposing long term business & enterprise architecture visions into near-term incrementally improving software.
* Comfortable providing guidance to autonomous teams while still allowing them to own the solution.
* Comfortable providing feedback via code reviews.
* Expert at automated unit & integration testing. Front End Specific Responsibilities:
* Expert at supporting a modern performant single page application in production.
* Expert at REST / API design
* Deep knowledge of modern frameworks and libraries, primarily Angular
* Understanding of strongly typed languages (TypeScript)
* Proficient at build tooling for front end applications (Webpack)
* Expert at asynchronous programming
* Proficient at debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning using browser developer tools. Back End Specific Responsibilities:
* Expert at REST / API design
* Expert at microservice design & development.
* Deep knowledge of relational database schema design (MySQL, Oracle)
* Experience building cloud native applications (Cloud Foundry)
* Expert and able to set standards and coach for the spring family of modules: Boot, MVC, Security, Data.
* Expert at Hibernate and JDBC Templates
* Experience supporting a relational database in a continuously deployed environment via tools such as Flyway.
* Experience with OAuth2
* Familiar with Maven
* Experience with eventually consistent systems
* Experience with message queues

Nice to Have

* Experience with SAFe
* Experience with GitLab
* Experience building delivery pipelines.
* Experience with Docker

Domicile: Plano, TX

Relocation assistance may be available for this position, but is based on business decision.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Requires five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
