As a Salesforce.com Technology Lead, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering transformative technology to enable our Abbott Diagnostics customer service organization to better serve our customers.

The position of Salesforce.com Lead Developer is part of the Digital Technology Services (DTS) division of Abbott Information Technology. DTS is responsible for the planning, delivery, implementation, and ongoing support for Abbott IT Commercial, Digital, and Analytics applications

Primary Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership for Development Team

* Provide technical leadership and expertise for the implementation and ongoing maintenance and support of a global Salesforce.com based digital product solution that drives the customer experience and business operations for a global call center and field service operations.
* Responsible for technical design for solutions delivered on the Salesforce.com Field Service Lightning platform, collaborating with architects, developers, business analysts, product owners, and end-users as appropriate to define short and long-range solution designs and plans to ensure the Salesforce.com digital product is continuously delivering business value.
* Provide Salesforce.com Field Service Lightning technical subject matter expertise and develop technical product roadmap that align with the business goals and the organization's project portfolio
* and priorities.
* Work with architect, developers, scrum master and business team to develop and review estimates for the technical solution, using both agile and waterfall techniques.
* Provide technical leadership and hands-on design for development of proof of concepts, new features, enhancements, and bug fixes from inception through production release and ongoing support.
* Provide and implement software development best practices across the organization by coaching and mentoring product owners, developers, and product owners.
* Develops prioritization framework to optimize project delivery and ensure sufficient resource allocation
* Own and drive quality assurance and software testing efforts with a key focus on automated testing and DevOps enablement on the team
* Ensure solutions address scalability, security, availability, and maintainability needs.
* Formulate and implement software testing strategies for digital transformation initiatives

Scrum Master for Development Team

* Ally, communicate, and maintain productive relationships with other IT functional areas to remain apprised of project status, and inform customer management of progress; conversely, keep the IT group's technology and service managers aware of user issues and potential potholes or resolve conflicts.
* Establish frameworks to track milestones, goals and objectives, communicate progress and help identify issues early on
* Monitor and manage project performance
* Develop, motivate, and provide direction to technical team in a way that facilitates the creation of a team environment and enables team to fulfill the department's operation objectives.
* Promote a continuous improvement culture and environment that encourages cooperation, open communication, teamwork and knowledge sharing.
* Lead iterative development reviews and agile Scrum ceremonies to enable effective software development
* Actively seek ways to continuously learn and apply Salesforce.com Field Service Lightning and related technologies to business processes, researching and providing information on technical trends and competitors' practices relevant to the assigned client business.
* Develop and review test plans, test cases and test reports to provide insight into the quality of in-development products and measure effectiveness of current test strategies
* Ensure efficient and effective risk/compliance management practices by adhering to Abbott policies, standards, and processes.

Skills and Experience:

Overall:

* 7-10 years of IT development/programming/ and technical lead/architecture experience
* 4-6 years of full-time, hands-on Salesforce Service cloud platform development (with Field Service Lightning experience strongly preferred)
* Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery, Automated Testing
* Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, and the rest of the Atlassian suite and using JIRA's Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
* Knowledge of other agile methodologies like Kanban
* Strong organizational, analytical/problem solving, and interpersonal skills
* Strong verbal/written communication skills
* Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
* Must demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skills
* Must demonstrate critical thinking skills to evaluate and present alternatives that are consistent with business objectives and strategy

Required:

* Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Math, or a related discipline
* Salesforce development technologies and tool sets - Process Builder, Schema Builder, VisualForce, Lightning components, Aura components, Force.com, Apex classes, S-Controls, APIs, SOQL, Triggers
* Application Integration architecture, design, and development using common technologies and toolsets, e.g., SOAP and REST services
* Full software life cycle management on the Salesforce.com platform- administer, configure, develop, deploy/test, deploy/verify
* Data architecture and databases - data model/schema definitions, SQL, Procedural SQL, Triggers

Preferred:

* Salesforce.com Certified Developer
* Experience with web development technologies and tool sets - e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON
* Experience with the Luminix Salesforce.com mobile platform (AppExchange product)
* Data loading and extraction using ETL tools such as Informatica
* Identity and Access Management architecture and technologies - e.g., SAML, OAuth
* .NET, C# services and front-end development - WCF, WPF, and Winforms
* Computer Telephony Integration with Five9 or another telephony provider
* Experience with administration of Salesforce.com Security Profiles & Roles, Sharing Settings, Public Groups, and User Administration
* Experience with validated applications in Life Sciences industry
* Experience with Agile methodologies and techniques: User Stories, test-driven development, behavior-driven development, continuous integration, testing, and delivery, automated testing
* Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, and the rest of the Atlassian suite and using JIRA's Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
* Knowledge of other agile methodologies like Kanban
