Overview

JDA Software is currently seeking software engineers who are interested in moving to a customer-facing Technical Consultant role within JDA's Global Technical Services team. This role will have a focus on Platform based solution suite (SCPO, Collaborate, S&OP). The Technical Consultant participates in the technical deliverables on projects involving the implementation of JDA's Supply Chain Planning solution. This position will report to the Sr Technical Director and is a virtual role with 75% travel.

Responsibilities

* Support the project team in Business Solution Design by providing inputs from a technical feasibility point of view, considering the impact on sizing and performance.
* Provide inputs for the technical track of the project plan giving details of tasks required along with effort estimates.
* Work with Clients to design and recommend hardware architecture to best support the business requirements in line with JDA best practices.
* Carry out / assist with Software installation and configuration
* Conduct technical analysis sessions with clients and/or the project team to understand the functional and technical needs of the client and develop technical solutions to meet those needs.
* Lead the development of integrations/batch scripts for automating the integrated solution while adhering to JDA development standards and batch framework.
* Provide technical support during System Testing, User Acceptance and Cutover Phases.

Assist with troubleshooting technical /performance issues.
* Conduct benchmarking and tuning for performance working in conjunction with Performance Services.
* Proactively identify risks to the project and escalate to project management as appropriate.
* Work with internal stakeholders (Services Sales, Cloud Services, Support) to help with client facing issues as required.
* Experience with leading design sessions, resolving technical issues during various project phases.

Required Skills

* Bachelor's Degree required.
* 2-3 years of experience as software engineer.
* Any technical hands-on experience with supply chain planning solutions (e.g. SAP / Oracle Manufacturing/ Manugistics/ i2/JDA SCPO) is a plus.
* Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
* Experience with participating in design sessions, resolving technical issues during various project phases.
* Database Skills on Oracle RDBMS - SQL and PL/SQL Scripting, Basics of Database Administration, Familiarity with tools and utilities for diagnosing performance related issues with Oracle databases.
* Working knowledge of Windows and Unix (including Linux) operating environments (Unix Shell & Windows scripting),
* Experience with analysis of big data, machine learning algorithmic engines and concepts is a plus. Python skills is a plus.
* Any Experience integration platforms like Informatica or MuleSoft is a plus.
* Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States & Canada.
* Experience working in a temporary project role and participated, to some degree, in a solution implementation targeting specific project requirements as either a customer of JDA's or as a consultant providing services for customers.
* Ability to work with appropriate parties to effectively determine rough order of magnitude effort estimates.
* Experience conducting technical analysis sessions to understand the functional and technical needs of project requirements and the developed technical solutions to meet those needs.
* Strong client facing skills, superlative written and verbal communication skills are a must.
* Must be customer focused.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a global team.
* Ability to work onsite or remotely as needed.
