Overview

JDA Software is currently seeking a Technical Architect (Category Management) to join our Technical Services team, specific to the JDA Category Management solution (formerly Intactix). This position will report to the Technical Manager and can be located anywhere in the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide direction to the on-site team on the technical design and definition and execution of related business process workflows that accompany the solution
* Work on multiple programs/projects simultaneously within one or more industry verticals, and/or may work on multiple applications
* Take ownership of all aspects of the technical deliverables within a program/project to architect software solutions that meet the customer's business requirements and generate maximum value for customers
* Analyze and optimize components to take advantage of project specific databases and system configurations.
* Assist other team members with benchmarking and sizing exercises.
* Conduct technical analysis sessions with clients and/or the project team to understand the functional and technical needs of the client and develop technical solutions to meet those needs.
* Escalate issues that may have a negative financial impact.
* Provide a variety of technical support to the project team; including quality assurance/design review, environment setup, software installation, configuration, operations consulting, troubleshooting, system testing, programming, etc.
* Provide technical expertise on development projects.
* Work with appropriate parties to ensure issues are resolved.
* Collaborate with project team to hone and define project technical requirements from technical specifications. Diagnose business and technical expectations on each project.

Work with the appropriate parties to effectively estimate project timelines.

Required Skills:

* Experience with leading design sessions, resolving technical issues during various project phases.
* Technical hands on experience with the JDA Category Management suite (formerly Intactix) - Category Knowledge Base, Space Planning, Floor Planning, Space Automation Pro, Assortment Optimization, Planogram Generator.
* Database knowledge including SQL Server, and Oracle, and technical knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems; C#/VB Visual Studio .Net development skills required. Strong scripting skills - Korn, Perl, Windows, Powershell.
* Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
* Familiarity with experience in ASP.Net, HTML, XML, SSO, LDAP, AD a plus and IIS administration a plus.Hands on experience with integration software tools such as MuleSoft preferred.
* Proven experience working in a temporary project role and participated to some degree in a solution implementation targeting specific project requirements as either a customer of JDA's or as a consultant providing services for customers.
* Ability to work with appropriate parties to effectively determine rough order of magnitude effort estimates.
* Proven experience conducting technical analysis sessions to understand the functional and technical needs of project requirements and the developed technical solutions to meet those needs.
* Experience facilitating/leading technical analysis and/or design workshops in support of desired to-be business requirements and then transferring the information gained into a written design document for group review and consensus.
* Ability to analyze and optimize components in order to take advantage of product specific databases and system configurations.
