Jack Henry and Associates is seeking to hire a highly motivated Systems Infrastructure Engineer to support operations services for deployments and production datacenters within virtualization, storage, and networking environments. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of networking, storage and how it interacts with VMware. This position will support system analysis, site transitions, daily administration as well as being involved in project-based work. To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates who are self-motivated and can think outside of the box, come up with solutions, and look for continual process improvement.

The TechOps Infrastructure Engineering team provides enterprise technology solutions by providing design and operational services within Jack Henry. Additionally, this team delivers operational services for deployment and production datacenter environments. Candidates will be joining a diverse team of employees who are located throughout several offices and remote locations.

This position will be hired in; Lenexa, KS, Allen, TX, Springfield, MO or Remotely.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure architecture/engineering.
* Minimum 5 years of VMware experience.
* Must have knowledge of or experience with networking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree preferred.
* VDI experience highly preferred.
* Previous Project Management experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Provides operational system administration support for enterprise applications in a high availability, 24x7x365 environment.
* Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of VMware infrastructure in support of one or more functional areas.
* Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software.
* Performs troubleshooting, resolution and problem analysis.
* Monitors alerting systems and servers.
* Review issues logs and capacity reports to identify trends and solutions that should be implemented enterprise-wide.
* Maintains in-depth documentation of activities and system configuration.
* Develops custom reports to meet the business needs.
* Drive continual service improvement.
* Prepares systems assessments or certifications.
* Executes test processes and scenarios, track results, and make recommendations of system fixes.
* Assist with network disaster recovery initiatives. Implement solutions to streamline disaster recovery.
* Integration and automation within VMware and other applications.
* Participates in an on-call rotation.
