Job Description

Description:Lead a highly talented engineering group involved in software and hardware integration; automated & manual test; system verification & validation; system delivery, installation & checkout.

Work in a multi-discipline engineering environment to develop and deliver systems hosted on submarines and undersea surveillance platforms, as well as related training systems.

Provide technical oversight, coaching, and guidance to team members to drive project performance across multiple environments: traditional development & production, and DevSecOps.

Resolve technical and process issues within and across domains.

Responsible for employee career development & performance; project staffing & planning; recruiting & hiring; project performance & productivity metrics tracking.

Basic Qualifications:

* Understanding of the full engineering life cycle.
* Experience in software and hardware integration for large-scale systems; system test, selloff, verification & validation.
* Experience in automation methods/tools for software build, deployment, integration and test.
* Experience in agile methods/tools.
* Familiarity with model-based engineering and leveraging MBE into the I&T/V&V cycle.
* Planning, scheduling, and estimation skills.
* Prior management experience and/or team leadership.
* Experience in coaching, mentoring, and career development.
* Understanding of project & process metrics.
* Demonstrated ability to motivate, energize and guide engineering teams.
* Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills:

Extensive hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas:

* Software integration, unit test through system test, customer selloff.
* Automation methods/tools/metrics for software build, deployment, integration and test.
* Systems engineering, hardware or software development.
* Familiarity with undersea/submarine systems: sonar, surveillance, C6I, and related training systems.

Experience managing project cost, schedule, technical and resources (such as staffing, material, capital, procurement).

Experience with medium-to-large projects.

Proposal writing and basis-of-estimate experience.

Familiarity with undersea/submarine systems & missions.
