Responsibilities:

The position is supporting Perspecta's NUO contract. The contract covers all aspects of SETA support including architecture, systems engineering, business processes, program control, information security and operations support. The overall customer organization provides critical communication functions within the intelligence community. The program has evolved over the past 20 years and consists of a group of smaller projects that each use various communications paths and sets of resources. Each project is supported by a SETA team that works closely with development contractors and other government entities to develop mission systems that meet the ever growing needs for critical, secure communications. The NUO SETA team supports the program across all phases of develop, starting with capturing user requirements and transitioning all the way through deployment and operations.

Specific Program Responsibilities:

The specific position responsibilities will include support to operations, working with users to understand their needs and requirements for projects related to planning and scheduling of communication systems, performing analysis to ensure the system and segment designs are meeting user needs, developing procedural updates for operations, addressing systems anomalies through technical investigations and working with development contractors. Other duties include technical facilitation and preparation for weekly engineering review boards, leading all related activities from a customer perspective, of key missions including leading site acceptance testing, end-to-end system tests and preparation and facilitation of period Operations Readiness Reviews (ORRs). Duties also include coordination between the customer, other government stakeholders and program office SETA, while working toward further integrating multiple systems into a single customer office and eventually into the same functional baseline. This position provides the government operations customer with technical support for all facets of mission operations, focused on flawless mission execution. This position does not require 24x7 support, but on occasion, may require off-hour support in the event of a significant outage that requires an anomaly team response.

Qualifications:

Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.

Required:

Familiarity with System Engineering processes - full system lifecycle experience, especially in transition to operations and operations support, risk management, verification and validation, etc.

Excellent Problem solving ability

Excellent communication skills

Excellent ability to work within team structure

BS in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Computer Science or similar technical degree

TS/SCI w/ Poly

Desired:

RF communication systems knowledge - specifically for mission management and scheduling of users within the systems capabilities.

Prior experience with the customer agency and the primary systems being used by the customer.
