Responsibilities/Qualification

Provides Senior Level AEGIS Baseline Development and Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) technical program support under minimal supervision for PEO IWS 4.0, the AEGIS International and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program Office.

Supports the IWS 4 SI&T Manager for the Republic of Korea (ROK) in the development and analysis of technical review artifacts, technical documentation, schedules, and action items.

Comments on FMS documentation in preparation for International Meetings and Forums, PARM reviews, technical and releasability reviews of test documentation and deliverables, System Engineering Plans, Master Test Plans and high-level working papers. Prepares meeting minutes and develops PowerPoint presentations for the SI&T Manager's review and approval.

Applies standard technical concepts, techniques and procedures to provide support to the IWS 4 Ship Integration and Test Manager in technical execution and planning of FMS program Baseline Development in accordance with DoD and USN policy.

Provides regular minimally supervised and occasional independent interaction with PEO IWS 4.0 customers and provides input to project managers on programmatic, technical, and testing deliverables.

Assists in the analysis of existing systems and the definition, design, and development of new system requirements. Performs basic technical work in analysis, design, development, evaluation, planning, testing and operation in support of system and technical product development.

Duties often include the collection of information and data, performance of various tests, and the development of technical documents.

Complies with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties. Provides recommendations for improvements to existing quality systems and applicable company procedures and guidelines.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree plus 5 to 7 years of related experience. Degree must be in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related discipline. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years of applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

Surface Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) experience is strongly desired.

AEGIS Combat/Weapons Systems Engineering and/or operational experience with AEGIS is strongly desired.

Shipyard Ship Construction, Overhaul Planning, or Systems Test experience a plus.

Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.

Current U.S. Passport is required. Expected travel up to 25%.
