Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Systems Engineering professional to support the NOAA Systems Engineering and Technical Services (SETS) program which provides enterprise systems engineering support to the NOAA satellite ground systems and collected data. NOAA operates geostationary satellites, low elliptical and high elliptical satellites.

This is a part-time role, working up to 20 hours per week at NOAA 's Wallops Island facility.

Requirements:

* Position requires Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, three years of related experience may be substituted for a BS degree. Requires at least 10+ years of relevant experience with a BS or 8+ years relevant experience with a MS degree.
* Experience with enterprise architectures and integration of Ground Systems
* Experience with NOAA ground systems at the NOAA Wallops Island facility
* Experience with NOAA procedures at the NOAA Wallops Island facility
* GOES-IO experience
* NOAA Satellite Operations Facility experience
