About the Position:

The Juniper Systems Engineer partners with Account Managers to drive revenue growth for Juniper by delivering world-class solutions to our customers and partners. Daily activities include direct customer engagement, working in concert with partners. In this position, you are the technical face of Juniper to the customer.

In addition to day to day engagement with your customers & partners, your goal is to become a trusted advisor in your accounts, helping to shape their strategic tech vision. This journey includes solution design, presenting & demonstrating our solutions and products, as well as developing and executing proof of concept test plans with customers.

Responsibilities:

This position is based in New York City, and supports the Named Account Manager based out of NYC geography, covering Manhattan. The focus of this position is named accounts, spanning a couple vertical markets, and represents our full portfolio, including Routing, Switching & Security solutions. The position reports into the Regional SE Manager, and involves 25-30% travel within the territory. Relocation is not being offered for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Pre-Sales SE for a network vendor
* BS/MS EE/CS, or other relevant industry experience
* Strong hands-on experience with Juniper or equivalent platforms
* Routing Protocols: OSPF, BGP
* Switching: Understanding of Campus Switching Designs, 2 and 3-tier models, STP avoidance, etc.
* Security: FW Rule Design, IPsec VPN

Preferred Qualifications:

* Virtualization: VMware, KVM, Openstack, or equivalent
* Automation Technologies: Ansible, Puppet, Chef
* Python literacy
* Data Center Design (L2 Multipath, IP Clos Fabric, etc.)
* MPLS: L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, EVPN
* Advanced NGFW Technologies (L4-7 visibility, AT protection, etc.)
