AbleTo is seeking a Systems Engineer II - CloudOps to support the ongoing development and maintenance of our continuous integration, delivery and deployment systems and pipelines within our Development Operations function. Through your efforts, you'll be making valuable contributions to the continuous transformation and improvement of our information systems. This role works within AbleTo to support agile software development lifecycle, including source code management, application scanning & profiling, cloud infrastructure as code (IaC), continuous configuration automation (CCA), and development operations design, development, testing, and support. We're looking for someone who is a technology-driven self-starter, team oriented, and a great communicator, with the skills necessary to ensure successful growth and support of our development operations systems.

Responsibilities

* Work closely with the operations, software engineering, and product management teams to design and implement our next-generation high availability, scalable cloud architecture.
* Draw on deep knowledge of automated provisioning, scaling and recovery of services
* Leverage cloud platform products and services to build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure components through IaC.
* Integrate operational capabilities to facilitate and ensure operational health of stacks throughout their lifecycle, including:
* Log Collection, aggregation and correlation
* Event management and routing
* Asset, capacity, and billing/tag management
* Provide architectural and engineering leadership, defining and implementing strategies to ensure scalability, availability, and functionality
* Develop automated methods to solve and mitigate network events, as well as self-service tools to improve operational efficiency

Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
* 5+ years experience in IT software development operations
* 3+ years engineering a cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure) production environment
* 3+ years engineering IaC & CCA tools, such as Cloud Deployment Manager, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, CloudFormation, etc.
* 2+ years administering DSCM & CI/CD pipelines on GitLab, Github, Jenkins, etc.
* 2+ years engineering scalable Docker containers, ideally on Kubernetes
* Programming experience with Bash, Python, R or other scripting languages
* GCP Certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Engineer is a plus

Competencies

* Extensive hands-on experience implementing, troubleshooting and supporting Internet-based SaaS applications and Linux/Windows operating systems.
* Excellent troubleshooting, follow-through and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong experience with managing hosted services/SaaS. Familiarity with programming/scripting.
* Demonstrated network administration and troubleshooting skills with strong understanding of Linux/Windows system administration.
* Familiar with reliability analysis and metrics.
* Ability to keep pace with rapid changes in enterprise products.
