Job Description

The Systems Engineer II reports to the Application Director and is a member of a larger Devops organization that maintains the Oracle Retail implementations in the Oracle Cloud. This is a hands-on technical role, leading a team of development and operation resources, mentoring local and remote teams, providing technical guidance, architecting issue resolution across Gap Inc. You will use your passion for data integrity and knowledge retail operations and to maintain system integrity, availability, and function for the Oracle Retail Cloud implementations.

* Architect solutions for data integration in Oracle Retail Cloud applications.


* Design, develop and troubleshoot integration interfaces between Oracle Retail Cloud Application and custom in-house application using Web technologies.


* Provide technical knowledge and guidance to the Oracle Retail Devops team.


* Prepare and execute test scripts to verify business logic incident solutions.


* Guide the operations team to resolve critical production issues.


* Work collaboratively with other team members to foster an environment of respect, open communication and cross functional expertise.


* Monitor system functions, communication, and data flow to proactively resolve problems before they impact operations


* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years relevant experience in Oracle Retail system in a Cloud environment including communication technologies and operations coordination.


* In-Depth Technical knowledge of Oracle Retail applications - RMS, RPM, ReSA, SIM & RIB and integration techniques.


* Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX Scripting, Oracle ADF, Oracle BI Publisher..


* Experience with Oracle RAC DB, Oracle AQ and Weblogic cluster.


* Experience/familiarity with REST & SOAP web services and working with XML and JSON documents.


* Experience with performance tuning Oracle Retail Application.


* Demonstrate problem solving, analytical abilities and self-motivation.
