Position Summary:

The Systems Engineer - full-time opportunity reporting to the Manager of Desktop Engineering. Candidates are responsible for the all aspects of endpoint management. Typical responsibilities will include client patching, compliance reporting, remediation, image creation, software packaging/deployments and providing next level support to field support staff. A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate an advance technical understanding of Endpoint operating systems, Active Directory GPO's, DNS and TCP/IP routing protocols.

Responsibilities:

* Self-starter, independent worker and team player
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Technical understanding of Active Directory, DNS and TCP/IP protocols.
* Working knowledge of GPO creation and implementation.
* Responsible for image creation/modification (SCCM)
* Responsible software implementation and modifications including scripting, testing, creation of support documentation, deployment of via BigFix/GP and providing deployment statistics to stakeholders.
* Ensures that change management and defined security procedures for all assigned systems are executed in accordance with client policies and procedures.
* Minimizes client service interruptions through early identification and resolution of problems. Analyzes monitoring and maintenance data and implements changes as required to achieve optimum performance.
* Extensive interfacing, collaboration, and coordination of efforts with vendors and other departments in the company
* Provide training and documentation to operational staff as needed
* Performs system analysis of workstations systems to research and remediate issues
* Perform routine system analysis, and develop reporting metrics, perform proactive and predictive analysis.
* Tests, benchmarks and documents product technical and non-technical specifications
* Obtain extensive knowledge in current systems and methodologies used by the TSE team

* Participate in TSE internal initiatives

o Develop endpoint strategies including endpoint imaging, HW and SW inventory, patching, and encryption methodologies.

Qualifications

* • 5+ years' experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Products including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, SCCM, SQL a plus
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as VBScript, Powershell, C-Sharp
* Experience with Patch Management through WSUS and BigFix a plus
* High Level knowledge of Smart Phone Technology, including deployment, configurations, and handheld devices
* Working Knowledge of windows security best practices
* Excellent written and oral communications skills
* Excellent analytical and organizational skills, self-motivation with attention to detail and quality are necessary.
* Understands Change Management processes
* Ability to be a critical thinker and operate in a fast-paced environment
* Requires work schedule flexibility with after-hours support and on-call availability
* Ability to work under the constraints of strict deadlines and time pressures
* 5 years of hardware and software experience in a corporate environment
* Expert knowledge of hardware and software, i.e., desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, all Microsoft Operating Systems, Office Suite, Adobe Products, Citrix
* Ability to lift 50lbs
