Description:

Leads Clinical Information Systems (CIS) process definitions and improvements required to efficiently and effectively meet CIS requirements. These processes provide best practices for developing CIS applications, developing engineered solutions, and coordinating program management efforts with other programs, new practice models, and gateways. The key CIS processes are project management, process management, technical decision making, and software development.

Essential Functions:

* Develops and evolves strategic processes w/ a global view for project management, decision making, software development, architectural planning, and new technology insertions.
* Develops and evolves best practices methodologies to directly support CIS application development.
* Develops and analyzes process metrics to gain an understanding of their effectiveness and to allow continuous improvement.
* Develops and refines requirements tracking methodologies.
* Develops approaches to communicate and motivate the CIS Group to change work habits to support process driven activities.
* Develops and implements plans to migrate KPNCR software development process.
* Oversees contractors.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

* Minimum seven (7) years' experience in information systems as a key leadership position including experience with large organization performing program management activities related to concurrently managing numerous large projects.
* Minimum three (3) years' experience in systems engineering; with comprehensive tool sets for project management, process management, and work automation.

Education

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical area OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

* N/A.

Additional Requirements:

* Significant knowledge of issues related to working in process driven environment vs. a task oriented work flow.
* Must be able to work in Labor/Management partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience with client/server environments preferred.
* Master's degree preferred.
* Experience creating group policies, scripting, packaging and managing deployments with Dell KACE appliances.
* Excellent Customer Service skills and experience working with internal/external customers and vendors.
* Asset Management, ITIL, Linux, Unix, Windows administration experience.
