This opportunity resides in Electronic Security NA, a global division of Stanley Black & Decker. We design, install, service, and monitor security systems that integrate intrusion, hold-up, fire, video surveillance, access control, and monitoring applications. With today's most comprehensive line of products, services, and technologies, we are the provider of choice for industrial, government, commercial, residential, and national account customers such as schools, hospitals, retailers, financial institutions, and airports.

The Senior System Engineer provides on-site and remote support to customers and technicians relating to their access control, burglary and CCTV system needs. From basic phone support to new system deployments and system upgrades, the duties assigned to this position are critical in ensuring that both large and small customers are given the support they need to deploy and keep their systems running efficiently. This role is also essential to acquiring professional perspective on particular customer design and implementation cases.

Organizational Relationship:

This position reports directly to the Branch Manager. This position will work closely with fellow analysts, technicians, managers, customer representatives, and product manufacturers.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Provide on-site and remote software support, installation, and configuration for customer facing systems.

2. Manage project schedules and support ticket escalations.

4. Travel locally as needed to deploy and support systems at customer sites.

5. Evaluate particular customer systems and recommend a company directive.

6. Pursue training as necessary to maintain industry recognized certifications.

7. Perform other duties as assigned to support department goals.

Required Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED
* 3+ years' experience with advanced programming and support of access control and video systems from manufacturers such as LENEL, Honeywell, Software House, Genetec, S2, etc. Must possess certifications of a least 2 of the manufacturers listed at a Level 1 or higher.
* 3+ years' experience with DVR/NVR video systems and IP cameras
* 3+ years' experience setting up and configuring current and legacy windows desktop and server platforms as well as SQL.
* 3+ years' experience with network configuration and troubleshooting
* Ability to list 50lbs as needed
* Ability to work independently or as a team member and be flexible
* Ability to present oneself in a professional manner
* Ability to initiate projects and bring to completion without direct supervision
* Strong communication skills; both written and verbal



Preferred Qualifications:

* Project management, documentation and organizational skills
* Bachelors' or Associates' Degree in a technical field
