As a member of the Mobility/Special Projects team, candidate will be involved in the design, development, integration, test, and verification of a complex Mission Systems avionics, sensors, and weapon suite. Candidate must have strong desire and interest in aircraft and associated ground system operations/avionics, and for hands-on integration work. Successful candidate will be involved in test procedure documentation, execution, and reporting of results, and will be closely involved with trouble-shooting equipment integration problems, and software / hardware integration. Formal educational emphasis or familiarity in the following areas is a plus: mission system architecture; experience in GPS algorithms and timing, Ethernet network and protocols, mission planning, situational awareness integration, and cross-domain integration.

Candidate responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, and integration and flight test. These responsibilities may also span the avionics services, to include ground station development as well as mission systems software technologies. Integration activities will include a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.

The selected applicant will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills as the position will require frequent internal interactions with project leads and other engineers in the group. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required.

Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Experience with mission system architecture development

Experience with requirements and verification

Bachelors or above in STEM discipline or equivalent experience.
