Responsibilities

* Provide Tier III support expertise for complex systems and associated integrated software, to include Cisco UCS hardware, NetApp disk arrays, VMware enterprise deployment Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Servers, and various COTS applications
* Administration and troubleshooting of Cisco UCS hardware, including NetApp disk arrays
* Administration and troubleshooting of VMware enterprise deployments including Virtual Machine configurations and virtual switches
* Administration of Windows systems and components
* Administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL Server 2014 R2
* Responsible for system security and data integrity
* Monitors and defines the use of resources and works with management to define requests for information
* Work as a high-level independent contributor or team leader
* Establishes procedures for maintaining user accounts, assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies; installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment
* Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
* Troubleshoots and resolves complex Cisco UCS, NetApp, VMware, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 10, and various COTS application failures within short timeframes to satisfy customer uptime demands
* Troubleshoots and resolves complex system hardware, software and communications problems; creates shell programs and utility scripts; performs configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity; performs automated and manual backup and restore processes
* Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure
* Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values
* Recommends and directs software changes and updates to keep department systems up-to-date. Monitors any software changes
* Provides user support and conducts user software and hardware training to formulate technology solutions and ensure the effective safeguarding and sharing of enterprise data
* Performs and/or oversees daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
* Performs and/or oversees daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary
* Performs Database product tuning and management
* Performs OS and Systems updates and migrations to new versions
* U.S. Citizen only for Federal Clearance Requirement



Qualifications

* Requires bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent experience
* Active Secret Security Clearance
* CompTIA Security+ or Network+
* IAT Level 2 certification (DoDI 8510.01) including CompTIA Security+ or Network+ within the first month of employment
* PowerShell scripting capabilities
* Active Directory knowledge to include Group Policy management, deployment, troubleshooting experience

Preferred Skills:

* Knowledge of VMware enterprise configuration and troubleshooting
* Knowledge of Cisco UCS hardware and configurations and troubleshooting
* Knowledge of NetApp NAS hardware and configurations and troubleshooting or equivalent NAS technology
* Configuring in virtual environments, to include VMware, PowerCLI, batch or some other Windows-specific scripting experience
* Additional Experience supporting IIS, SQL, SSL
* Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Windows Server 2012 R2 or equivalent training and experience
* Experience managing Navy computer network systems that include Microsoft products, Server hardware, NAS devices, VMware, and COTS applications
* Additional Experience supporting PKI infrastructures and environments a plus
* Additional Experience supporting Milestone XProtect, Lenel OnGaurd, CNL IPSecurityCenter

Must have secret security clearance.
