Job Description

This includes all aspects of satellite navigation (SATNAV) including space vehicles, ground control systems and receivers. Key Functions:

We are looking for talented engineers and scientists who are interested in joining our team and applying their technical expertise towards furthering the public good by developing, applying and evaluating state-of-the-art navigation technologies.

* Working on Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) technologies to further safety & security assurance for civil & military signals
* Candidates must be able to take on and successfully complete diverse and technically challenging tasks needed to develop plans and requirements for evolving the GPS Enterprise.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field
* Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances

Required Qualifications:

Background in one of the following (or related) areas:

* Electrical or Systems Engineering: DSP, wireless communications, sensor fusion, machine vision
* Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering: Kalman filtering, estimation theory, linear systems theory, state-space modeling
* Astrodynamics: Orbit and attitude dynamics and control of spacecraft
* Physics: Electromagnetics, antennas, inertial sensors, atomic sensors
* Mathematics: Stochastic processes, cryptography

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

* MS in electrical engineering, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, astronautical engineering, astrodynamics, mathematics, physics or related discipline
* High levels of technical insight, ingenuity, initiative, creativity, productivity, and collaboration skills
* Experience with Python, MATLAB, or other modeling tools, data analysis, field and lab testing, and experience with satellite navigation technologies
* Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, as well as the ability to build collaborative and mutually beneficial working relationships with people of different backgrounds, are essential
* Ability to support occasional business travel is desired
